Mason reached out with a plan to propose in the Tahoe area while him and Michelle were in town visiting for 6 weeks. After waiting for the weather to clear (bad storms almost every weekend), we decided on a Tuesday with clear skies and hiked up to Chickadee Ridge Summit. Mason and Michelle went up the mountain on cross country skis and Josh and I slightly behind them in snow shoes so Michelle would not sniff out the surprise–although their cute pup definitely did and kept stopping to stare at us.

Mason had scouted out the spot he wanted when he went up with Michelle a few days before. She had no idea! He did a really incredible job of making this a normal Tuesday night for them–going on a little adventure after work (both remote). Michelle thought they were going on one of their regular adventures. Little did she know, she’d end up with a ring!

So grateful to have captured this beautiful moment! Cheers to this new adventure!
