It was one crazy weekend!! To say the least! Chloe + Chris’ wedding in Truckee was smack dab in the middle of a historic snow storm! A literal BLIZZARD!! There was so many road blocks figuratively and literally.
Josh and I, specifically, were turned around twice on our way due to road closures and then got into an accident 30 min out from the venue. Don’t worry! Everyone was okay but WOW! I learned so much through this whole experience but the biggest thing:
PICK RIDE OR DIE VENDORS!
I cannot stress this enough! Bri (Married Poppins) and her assistant Dominique threw down for this wedding! Bri was putting out fire after fire and handled everything so smoothly—even when we got in an accident, she was on it! We were picked up within 30 min and at the wedding in no time!
The venue staff were plowing roads for the guests, moving the plans indoors from outdoors, arranging and rearranging the layout. They just killed it and even though we know they were understaffed because of the weather, you would’ve NEVER guessed.
Every single person we told what we went through to get to this wedding has said, “I would’ve turned around and gone home after the 2nd road closure, but especially when you got in an accident.” That never crossed my mind or ever will. We will do everything in our power to show up for your wedding day including driving through a blizzard with ZERO visibility!

Chloe and Chris, your trust in all of us was admirable. I’m no joke crying writing this! I can’t thank you enough for putting your faith in your vendors. You two could’ve given up so many times and thrown in the towel but you powered through and made the absolute most of it. We are so grateful for such an incredible couple. Saturday could’ve been a doozy but with a positive attitude and amazing team work, we did the damn thing! Cheers and hats off to you guys! We love you. Congratulations!
